HOW TO STORE IT?
It is not uncommon to hear that wine improves with time. This proverb is true for red wines with pronounced tannins, but is it also true for rosé wine? Appreciated for its youth and freshness, rosé wine is most often consumed within a year of its vintage.
Rosé wine does not contain tannin, which means that it will lose its aromas with the passage of time. However, some top-of-the-range rosés, such as those offered by Château Léoube, can be kept for one, two or even three years. Thanks to the malolactic fermentation, our wines have a better conservation and evolve towards more roundness and softness.
If storing bottles in a wine cellar is the best way to preserve the quality of the product, storing them in a cellar is also a good alternative. The precious drink should be kept away from light and humidity, in a place that is not subject to strong temperature variations.
Once opened, the bottle of rosé should be consumed within 3 to 5 days to prevent the wine from becoming stale and thus affecting its quality. During these few days, it is preferable to keep the bottle at a temperature between 10° and 13°C.
